Join us for an exciting conversation on prisons, policing, and abolition with panelist Dr Lambros Fatsis and Dr Sarah Lamble. Dr Lambros Fatsis is a Senior Lecturer in Criminology at the University of Brighton. Fusing cultural criminology and Black radical thought, his published and ongoing research focuses on police racism and the criminalisation of Black music (sub)culture(s), from the era of colonial slavery to the present day. He is the author of two books: Policing the Pandemic (with Melayna Lamb) and The Public and Their Platforms (with Mark Carrigan).

Dr Sarah Lamble is a Reader in Criminology and Queer Theory at the School of Law, Birkbeck, with a focus on  gender, sexuality and imprisonment, as well as alternative and transformative justice.  Lamble is an organiser with Abolitionist Futures and a founding member of the Bent Bars Project, which coordinates a letter-writing programme for imprisoned LGBTQ+ people in the UK.
