Facilitated by Anika Kabani and Alice Catanzaro, this Reading Group explores Islam through the lens of anthropology. Each week will explore a different scholar's work on lived Islam in order to challenge the textualist biases in the field of Islamic studies and help promote a more holistic conception of Islamic religious practice and tradition.
