The Oxford Holocaust Studies Reading Group is a space for students and DPhil researchers to meet within a supportive community. The group meets four times a term to discuss our research, some of the main methodological issues in Holocaust studies, and the latest and upcoming publications in the field. Established in MT 2020, it has become a key part of the research community at Oxford. It is a diverse interdisciplinary space, bringing together students from History, Asian and Middle Eastern Studies, Theology and Religion, and others. Each year, master’s, DPhil, and visiting students benefit from the group by presenting their research in progress to other students and getting valuable feedback on their work. We also welcome visiting speakers to present their work, creating links between the academy at Oxford and the wider community and diversifying our discussions.
