Professor William Marx is the Professor of Comparative Literature at the Collège de France, and is the 2022 Visiting Professor for the TORCH/Princeton University Press Lecture Series in European History and Culture. In 2010, he received the Montyon Prize of the Académie française, and he was elected as a member of the Academia Europaea in 2022. His publications include: Naissance de la critique moderne (2002).
