Early Medieval Britain and Ireland
About

This network was funded from June 2018 to June 2020.
The Early Medieval Britain and Ireland Network is a multidisciplinary scholarly community comprised of faculty, staff, and students from across the University of Oxford with an interest in the cultures, languages, histories, and peoples of early medieval Britain and Ireland. In order to foster a robust community, we sponsor several initiatives throughout the academic year open to anyone at Oxford. Each term, we invite leading scholars in the field of early medieval British and Irish studies to our network to present their latest research at our lecture series. This is an excellent opportunity for the Oxford community to meet and network with scholars from around the UK and Ireland whose research aligns with our network's interests. We also organize regular pub nights and informal seminars where student members are welcome to present their ongoing research in a friendly, supportive environment.
